Suzy Capó was a journalist and cultural producer, the woman who opened the eyes of the media and the Brazilian audiovisual industry to the theme of diversity of sexuality demonstrations by entering the country an intellectual and creative approach on issues hitherto taboos, such as homosexuality and other issues related to gender and sexual practices.

Degree in journalism from the University of Brasilia with a Masters in Film and Performance Theory at New York University, his kickoff this harvest happened in the early 1990s, when he worked in the curator at The Kitchen, cultural institution NY with one of the most important collections US video art.

His next step was as a guest curator of Mix New York, which led to the Festival Mix Brazil, an event which was co-founder. It was she who, in 1994, conceptualized the GLS acronym used to describe gays, lesbians and supporters, quickly adopted and disseminated throughout the country.

After serving as president of the Mix Brazil Cultural Association from 2003 to 2007 and as artistic director of the event until 2009, she founded the Film Festival, niche film distributor. And so Suzy Capó innovated one more time to launch the first and only seal distribution productions with LGBT themes in the country.
